About Prashar Lake

Prashar Lake is a pristine blue water lake nestled in the Himalayan ranges at an altitude of 2,730 meters. Located about 49 km north of Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, this lake is surrounded by the majestic Dhauladhar ranges and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains.

What makes Prashar Lake unique is its floating island, which changes its position throughout the year. The lake is considered sacred and has a three-storied pagoda-like temple dedicated to Sage Prashar situated on its bank. The temple was built in the 13th century and features remarkable architecture with intricate wood carvings.
